Ericsson Acquires inCode to Enhance its Strategy and Technology Consulting Capabilities

Ericsson (News - Alert) announced that it has acquired certain assets of inCode’s Strategy and Technology Group, which is a professional services firm providing business and consulting services to clients in the telecommunications field.
According to company sources, about 45 highly skilled strategy, business, and technical consultants in the United States and Canada will come under its wing. Also other contracts, technology and intellectual property will be gained by Ericsson.
The inCode (News - Alert) team has built a reputation for expertise, credibility, and confidence and it has served an extensive North American client base providing them with consultative services concerning all major facets of business transformations in the telecom industry.
In a release Magnus Mandersson, Senior Vice President and Head of Business Unit Global Services, Ericsson said, “inCode adds unique expertise in complex, strategic and technical consulting engagements that will enable us to immediately enhance the value that we bring to our customers.”
Manderson added, “It is further proof of Ericsson's commitment to act as the partner of choice for the business transformation currently taking place within the telecommunications industry.”
Ericsson offers a proactive, consultative approach to working with its customers that matches the business model of inCode. Also it was revealed that the acquisition will further enhance Ericsson’s ability to serve North American clients more optimally in producing successful strategies and solutions.
inCode can also leverage Ericsson’s experience in the mobile broadband, fixed broadband and convergence; consumer and business applications; television and media management and managed services industries.
The acquired organization will operate as the Strategy Consulting Group of Ericsson North America under the inCode brand, added sources at Ericsson.
Ericsson specializes in the provision of technology and services to telecom operators encompassing 2G, 3G and 4G mobile technologies, besides providing support for networks with over 2 billion subscribers. The company also offers managed services; mobile and fixed network infrastructure; telecom services and software, broadband and multimedia solutions for operators, enterprises and the media industry.
